desensitised

Going to all these childbirth preparation classes, has meant so many discussions about bodily functions, physiology and anatomy and seeing so many videos and pictures of naked women, ginormous breasts and babies sucking on huge nipples. I think I have become desensitised to it all and start to think this is OK fodder for normal conversation. I noticed yesterday that I was having a lengthy factual conversation with a colleague who has recently become a first-time Dad, whose wife is also a work colleague, neither of which I know that well, about their methods of post-birth contraception and only realising this was perhaps not the most appropriate workplace conversation (in an open office shared with 5 people) when he said ‘not that we are getting much practice in to need it’. Eek. We later moved the conversation onto prams instead.

Oh dear, you are transforming, but it does sorta remind me of conversations I have with other cat-owners :).

I'm glad to say I never did that when I was a cat (or dog) owner. But at least with cat conversations you're unlikely to get into anything that's icky and personal and inappropriate at work. Well, unless... but let's not go there

Unless you wanna get into one cat not taking wet food well and throwing up, as well as checking if she's making poo. I tell you, never thought I would be happy about anybody have a number two!

And then sharing it with somebody!

But please be my guest, be more open about inappropriate things, that are not interesting. I'm still reading your blog, aren't I?

How sad does that make me :) ?

You have to - its your fault I'm writing it ;)

I must admit though I haven't been tempted to read your cat blog ;), although I have noticed your 'normal' blog hasn't had so many updates recently, is that because you're too busy posting about the above poo dramas to the cat one?

Nope, just didn't feel inspired lately. It'll come back. Patience, heard of it :)?
